Welcome to Field Lens Light Camera Kit ("App", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our iOS application and related services. By using the App, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
App Settings: Your preferences (e.g., unit of measure, EV target range) are saved locally on your device and automatically synced to iCloud if enabled.
Equipment Data (Gear): Your saved camera bodies, lenses, and related data are stored in iCloud.
No User Accounts: The app does not require account creation.
B. Camera and Light Metering Data
The app uses the iPhone camera sensor to measure light readings.
This data is processed in real-time and never stored or transmitted externally.
If the user denies camera access, light reading features will be disabled.
We use locally stored data only for the following purposes:
Providing core app functionality (e.g., exposure calculations, light readings).
Syncing your settings and gear across devices via iCloud (if enabled).
Processing subscriptions securely through Apple.
We do not collect, store, track, or analyze usage data.
We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.
Local Storage: App settings and saved gear are stored on your device.
iCloud Sync: If iCloud is enabled, your data is securely stored in Apple’s iCloud servers. iCloud data is stored in the user's private iCloud account, and we do not have access to this data.
No External Servers: We do not transfer data to third-party servers.
Camera Access: The app requests camera access to read light, and to capture a photo to create a thumbnail for saved gear.
Photo Selection: Users can choose an existing image from their photo library for their equipment thumbnail. The app is not required to request permission to access all photos—single photo selection is handled via Apple's Photo Picker. We do not access or store the user’s full photo library—only the image they select.
How Images Are Stored: The selected or captured image is stored locally on the user’s device and may be synced to iCloud if enabled. We do not upload, transmit, or access any images externally beyond the user’s iCloud storage. We do not collect, process, or share images externally.
No Continuous Camera Access: The camera is only activated when the user explicitly selects the option to take a photo. The app does not access the camera in the background or without user interaction.
We use Apple’s payments system for in-app purchases.
We do not collect, process, or store any payment details.
Apple handles all payments and billing.
Users can manage or cancel their subscriptions via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on their device.
If you contact us for support, we may collect:
Your email address (as part of your inquiry).
Any information you voluntarily provide in your message.
We will only use this information to respond to your request and will not store or share your email beyond necessary communication.
You have the following rights regarding your data:
Modify or delete saved settings and gear in the app.
Opt-out of iCloud Sync: Disable iCloud sync in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud.
Revoke Camera Access: Disable it via iOS Settings → Privacy → Camera.
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
If you believe a child has provided data, please contact us at info@multifocuslabs.com
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. If there are significant changes, we may notify users via an in-app message.
